Support African Higher Education

Support for higher education in Africa comes in different forms: funding scholarships; enabling extracurricular learning; strengthening teaching and research; and funding critical capital infrastructure and equipment.

Gifts of all sizes from individuals and foundations help us make a high-impact education affordable in Africa.

We support experiential learning programmes – student exchanges and service-learning projects, among others – that allow university students from both Canada and countries in Africa to learn from each other and gain global perspectives.

We invest in research initiatives that increase understanding of effective teaching strategies, leadership education, business training, computer science, engineering, information systems, healthcare, good governance, agriculture, environmental protection and sustainability, and economic development.

Well-designed residential and academic buildings facilitate better teaching and learning, student engagement, and overall success. We work with partners to add more of such infrastructure in African universities.
